What is the free online assessment?
You send us a few photos of your scalp, and Head Art evaluates your case to understand your goals and which possibilities may work best for you. The assessment is free and comes with no obligation.
Do I need to know exactly what result I want?
No. During your assessment, we help define the result based on your facial features, degree of hair loss, existing hair, and desired style. Every treatment plan is created individually.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on your case and desired result. The treatment is built gradually to achieve the right level of density, definition, and natural appearance.
Do I need to shave my head?
It depends on your goal. For the shaved-look effect, we normally work with very short hair. For density treatments, we evaluate your existing hair and determine the most appropriate approach.
Does the assessment include a simulation?
Whenever possible, we use your photos to show a visual preview of the result that may be achievable. The simulation is especially useful for visualizing the hairline and overall change in appearance.
Will my photos be shared publicly?
No. Photos submitted for assessment are handled privately. Any use of your images for marketing or promotional purposes requires separate authorization.
Will it look natural?
That is one of the main goals of the technique. Your hairline, pigment tone, dot size, and distribution are individually planned to create a result that blends naturally with your features.
Does Scalp Micropigmentation hurt?
Sensitivity varies from person to person, but the procedure is generally well tolerated. Many clients report only mild discomfort in certain areas during the session.
Will I see a result after the first session?
Yes. A visible change can usually be noticed after the first session. During the following sessions, the result is refined and density is built gradually.
How long does the result last?
SMP is a long-lasting procedure, and the result can remain visible for years. Over time, the pigment gradually fades. When necessary, a maintenance session can restore definition.
Does SMP work for receding hairlines and thinning hair?
Yes. The technique can be used to create or visually reconstruct the hairline and temples, as well as reduce scalp contrast in areas with lower density.
What if my hair loss continues to progress?
Your treatment plan takes your current hair condition and its possible progression into account. If your hair loss changes over time, the treatment can be expanded or adjusted to maintain a natural result.
How long does each session take?
It depends on the treatment area and complexity of the case. We normally set aside several hours so each stage can be completed carefully and precisely, without rushing.
Can I return to work after the procedure?
In most cases, yes. SMP usually does not require time away from work. Temporary redness may be present during the first few hours, and specific aftercare instructions should be followed during healing.
Does Scalp Micropigmentation make hair grow?
No. SMP is a cosmetic procedure that recreates the visual appearance of hair follicles and greater density. It can significantly change the appearance of the scalp, but it is not a hair-growth treatment.
Can previous SMP work be corrected?
In many cases, previous treatments can be improved or corrected. We first evaluate the existing work and then determine the best approach for achieving a more natural result.
Can SMP camouflage hair-transplant scars?
Yes. In many cases, SMP can significantly reduce the visual contrast of scars on the scalp. The possible result depends on the characteristics of the scar and is assessed individually.
Can I have SMP after a hair transplant?
Yes. SMP can complement the result of a hair transplant, particularly in areas where visible scalp contrast or lower density remains. The area must be fully healed and medically cleared before treatment.
